Common questions

Do you prepare Canadian or Indian tax returns?

We are a U.S. CPA firm. We handle the U.S. side (returns, FBAR, Form 8938, PFIC, foreign tax credits, state filings) and coordinate with your Canadian CPA and your Indian Chartered Accountant so the three filings tell the same story. Canadian and Indian returns are prepared and filed with licensed professionals in those countries.

Who needs a cross-border tax review?

Anyone with income, accounts, property, a business or family obligations in more than one of India, Canada and the USA: H-1B and TN workers, green card holders, U.S. citizens abroad, Canadian residents with U.S. or Indian assets, returning NRIs and owners of companies in two or more countries.

Where are you located?

Our firm is a U.S. CPA firm serving Aurora, the Fox Valley and the Chicago suburbs in Kane, DuPage, Will and Kendall counties, and clients across the United States, Canada and India by secure online meetings. Ask us about meeting in person.

How do fees work?

Fees depend on the scope and complexity of the work. We quote them in a written engagement agreement before any work begins.

Can you help with an IRS notice?

Yes. Read our first steps for IRS notices, then contact us. With a signed power of attorney we can respond to the IRS for you.

How current is the information on this site?

Each guide shows its update date and links to the official source. We review the guides as rules change and post summaries in our updates section.
